Our Review of The Atlanta Ballet’s Princess Tea

Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education Princess Teas Review

With Special Surprises and Treats by American Girl!

The event starts by waiting on line. My daughter, her two friends and I arrived at 1:30pm and was quickly checked in. Each staff member put a star with a color coded dot and the child’s name on the child. Once checked in a Ballerina walked the girls to a Balloon Seating to take an individual picture. While the girls were taking pictures, the parents were asked to enter into the American Girl Doll Raffle to win their Bitty Baby Doll and more. Once the girls took their individual pictures, the Ballerina walked the girls to the next room. At that point, parents were asked to exit. Each parent was given a slip with information on pickup and the color coded dot. The girls were broken into groups based on their color coded dot and the parents were notified what color their daughter(s) were for pickup designation.

During the event, the groups of girls rotated and went from room to do doing various activities, American Girl Doll Crafts, Ballerina dance lessons, Face Painting, Princess Tea & Snack time, and dancing games. Each activity the girls were lead by Atlanta Ballerinas and Staff. They were all very coordinated, supportive, and just overall amazing to all of the girls.

At the end, all of the groups gathered as one and the Atlanta Ballet performed several breath taking routines which the girls LOVED! Everytime the ballerinas entered the room with their stunning costumes, the room filled with “Awws” from the girls. It was inspiring for all the girls to see these talented Ballerinas dance and flurry about. After the performance, the Principal of the school thanked the girls for coming and thanked the dancers & staff. Then the American Girl Doll Representative came out and announced the BIG RAFFLE WINNER – Sharlett born May 26th. She was then given all of her prizes and pictures were taken as tears of joy filled her eyes.

For departure, all of the groups split up and were put into different rooms by there color coded dots. Parents in the begining were instructed which door to pickup their child(ren) based on the color coded dot. As the parents arrived, each parent gave a staff member the slip with the child’s name and dot. The child was called and the staff member verified the names. The Atlanta Ballet took great precautious throughtout the event and even more upon departure. It was a seemless day.

I truly encourage all girls ages 3-8 years old to attend. My daughter and her friends are 7 years old and they had a blast. There were also younger girls that were so awed by all the events, they also had a great time. There were girls dressed from casual, to princess dresses, to fancy dresses and to ballerina outfits.
Pictures and Videos Can be seen on our Facebook Page.
